Centurion 5 mile, nr Solihull
This is a well organised race with plenty of car parking. Big hall and good changing facilities. Tea, coffee and snacks available. Well marshalled
Race is basically one short lap around a lake and then two bigger laps around the lake and a bit more. Race is set on paths, some tarmac, some more like canal tow paths so a bit soggy in places after the torrential rain through Saturday night. The start is a bit congested as it is single track so faster runners might want to get nearer the front.
I enjoyed the race as it was away from the road and I like running around parks. There were a few mad geese and a stile to jump across (stile not the geese). No mile markers so take a Garmin (note to self) Weather was sunny (honest!) but there was a massive head wind on the exposed (600m?) stretch opposite the start so you had to run into that 3 times which was very draining if you are wafer thin like me.
As the only BVH I was expecting 30 points but that’s next month isn’t it? (It is - Mike!)

Please note: the next in the series is part of the Grand Prix
