Ladies Road Relays Results - 19th September 2009
Well done and thank you to all the ladies that took part in the relays on Saturday, you made my job very easy!
I’m pleased to say that we managed to put out 3 full ladies teams, and that was with a number of the usual members not being able to race. We also welcomed Lesley P, Helen L and Julie to the team as they competed in the relays for the first time, all running brilliant times on their first outing which I think they enjoyed and I’m hoping they will be back for more!
I believe that both Linda and Caroline ran faster times this year compared with last years event, knocking about half a minute off each, Linda battling through rather painful sinusitis and Caroline running a great leg for her ‘A’ team debut. Unfortunately for the ‘B’ and ‘C’ teams, they mainly had to run a pretty lonely race with only themselves for company, with Kat and Helen providing some much needed support around the course.
The overall winning team, Charnbrook, completed it in 59 minutes…although were not quite at 15 minutes a leg yet, we are running some great times…
