Barry's report:

I competed in my first competition for Welsh Masters on 16th August,2009.Ten of the UKs areas/regions were represented in this Inter Area Event.It was great to be running against Scotland,N Ireland and the areas/regions of England.I was selected to run in the 800m and 400m Medley.

My time for the 800m was 2mins 52.1secs, a pb, and a new Club Record in my age category.But not in Rob Andrew`s league!

The Welsh Team ended up a respectable 4th,but not a match for the English on this occasion!  It was a memorable occasion ---- there was even a new world record time run in the women`s 5000m --- And the sun was shining.
