The beginning of March saw a clutch of races for runners eager to get the miles in for London (and Connemara). First off was Milton Keynes Half Marathon (2nd March) , unfortunately Bob Hopkins had to pull out due to injury (hope you are on the mend Bob) so Dave Sheppard was left to fly the flag alone. Coming home with yet another PB I believe in 1:33:07 - obviously the trainings going well! The following weekend (9th March) was a busy one with the ever popular Milford 21. Andy Aston finished in overall 5th place in a time of 2:25:40 followed by Mat Giles and Andy Davies in 2:36:47, although Mr Gs preparation was slightly different to most - instead of carb loading he spent Friday night doing an 11 hour overnight warm up run! Over in Ironbridge three members enjoyed the beautiful sunny Shropshire scenes with Kevin Burke coming home in 1st MV50 position in 1:22:54 followed by Laurence LL 1:47:00 and Dawn Bishop in 2:02:20. Closer to home was the Treat MT8 over in Stourport with Richard (Trickie) Dawson taking just 1:05:04 to complete.
