Aerobic Gymnastics

LAUSANNE (SUI) FIG Office, August 5, 2009: The FIG Presidential Commission has chosen the French Gymnastics Federation to host the 11th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships which will take place on June 18 – 20, 2010 in the city of Rodez (Aveyron Dpt.). Before that, Age Groups Competitions for gymnasts aged 12-14 and 15-17 will take place from June 15 - 17.

Staged every 2 years, the 2008 Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships in Ulm (GER) had gathered 372 gymnasts from 40 federations. It is a highlight in the FIG calendar. Aerobic Gymnastics has only just made a hit in the World Games of Kaohsiung (TPE) which took place last July.

Located in the Midi-Pyrénées region, Rodez has already staged the Aerobic World Cup Final in 2007.
