Start ticket sale World Championships Artistic Gymnastics 2010
ROTTERDAM (NED) - LAUSANNE (SUI), FIG Office, June 16, 2009: The first tickets for the 2010 World Championships to be held in the Netherlands can be ordered from 20:00h (GMT+2) on June 21. It seems there will be quite a run on these tickets. Gymnastics fans from all over the world will come to Rotterdam to see this spectacle. It is a unique chance to see world gymnasts in action.
The qualification for the next Olympic Games starts with the 2010 World Championships. All gymnastics stars and the onrushing talents will do everything to stay in the race for the Olympics. These 2010 championships are a so called ‘major World Championships’. This means that beside individual titles in the all-rounds and event finals gymnasts also compete for world titles in the international match. Rotterdam is going to prepare for eight days of absolute top gymnastics.
The organisation starts with the ticket sale now in order to enable everyone to order tickets in time. After the World Championships in London later this year, the interest in tickets will certainly increase. It is quite possible that favourite sections in the stands will be sold out soon. Especially the go-as-you-please tickets are interesting for the real fans. Such a ticket gives entrance to all events during the World Championships such as platform training sessions of the Dutch team, women’s and men’s qualification matches, the team finals, the All-around finals and of course the event finals. A passé-partout is ideal if you want to attend the World Championships from beginning to end.
