Team Ranking in the Qualifications: 1. China 2. USA 3. Russia 4. Romania 5. Australia 6. France 7. Brazil 8. Japan.

Although the ranking from the Qualification round would indicate a two way battle for the Gold between the present World Champions, the USA and the present competition leader China, one must always remember that it is 3 gymnasts to perform and 3 to count!

Russia and Romania have great experience in achieving Olympic success. As has so many times happened in the past, the Beam will probably decide the outcome!

The remaining finalists Australia, France, Brazil and Japan are not 'also rans' and have exceptional abilities on certain apparatus.

France also showed great stability in the qualification, while Brazil bounded to success on Floor and Vault.

Australia attracted attention on Floor and A. Bars, while Japan are the most improved nation in Women’s gymnastics.

All in all, expect another great Team Final!
