Women's Synchronised Trampoline Final
METZ (FRA), FIG Office, November 12, 2010: The Finals in the Women's Synchronised Trampoline event saw heavy changes compared to the ranking after the preliminaries. In the end, Russia's Irina Karavaeva and Victoria Voronina prevailed, having performed an excellent routine which awarded them their well-deserved Gold medal.
The Silver and Bronze medal had to be awarded based on the tie-breaking rules; both Anna Dogonadze / Carina Baumgärtner (GER) and Tatiana Piatrenia / Katsiaryna Mironava (BLR) ended up on the same total score of 46.800. Germany finally took the Silver, having higher execution and synchronisation scores than Belarus.
Fourth place was awarded to the Japanese pair of Mika Futagi and Ayana Yamada, who moved up two places from the preliminaries. They were followed by the home country pair; Marina Murinova and Marine Jurbert (FRA) dropped one position into fifth place.
Sixth place saw Uzbekistan with Ekaterina Khilko and Anna Savkina, and seventh Great Britain with Amanda Parker and Bryony Page. The heaviest drop, however, affected the Chinese pair, last years World Champions Xingping Zhong and Dan Li, who ended up in eighth and last place, having started in the top ranking spot.
