Three of our paddlers have been selected to represent Great Britain in the Senior Open team at this year's World Championships in Sydney.

Trials were held on Saturday while the rest of us were at the Henley Junior Regatta and Steve Lawrence and Andy Trotman were selected as paddlers, with Penny Thompson as their drummer.

The three will be racing at the World Championships in Sydney, Australia, in September.

Several more of our club members are training hard for the trials for the Senior Women, Premier Women and Open teams which will be held in the next couple of months. Henley Dragons do not currently have any members in the GB Junior Squad, but seeing some of the talent in our Junior Regatta on Saturday, perhaps this dream is achievable in the next few years for a local youngster reading this....
