At the IOC Executive Board in Athens, the International Olympic
Committee (IOC) has decided to put forward the FITA President, Dr. Ugur Erdener from Turkey, as a candidate for the IOC Membership. The other nominee is Mr Sergey Bubka from Ukraine.

Dr. Erdener is the second FITA President to be nominated for the IOC Membership but it is the first time in the capacity as IF President. FITA Honorary President, Mr. James L. Easton, was appointed as an individual member at the IOC Session in Paris in 1994.

Altius: Anna Dogonadze, GER 15 Mar 2005
Anna Dogonadze won the bronze at The World Games 1997 Lahti in women’s individual trampoline for herself and her native Georgia. When trampoline premiered in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Anna competed for Germany.
