IWGA Secretary General Co Koren advised the Member Sports Federations participating in The World Games 2009 of changes made to the English names of venues in Kaohsiung.  'As announced during the recent IWGA General Meeting in Athens, the Kaohsiung Organizing Committee has made a number of changes to the names of the venues of The World Games 2009. The reason for these changes is that the organizers want to use consistent English names on maps and direction indicators in the Kaohsiung,' Koren wrote to the federations. The English translations of the Mandarin venue names have been approved by the Bilingual Living Enviorment Commission of Kaohsiung City Government
