Between 11 and 20 July the host city celebrates the start of the final countdown to The World Games 2009. 16 July is the magic 'Minus 365 Days' mark.  A wide range of activities provides the citizenry with a first taste of the international spirit which will also permeate next year's multi-sport games.

With some of the festvities are already underway, the absolute highlight of the One Year Countdown is the

One Year Countdown Parade,

on 13 July, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The parade gathers over 3000 performers on Jhongshan Road in downtown Kaohsiung.

Daily performances from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm

Saturdays/Sundays also from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm

The international street art festival features 36 different groups. National and international performers were invited by the Kaohsiung Organizing Committee for The World Games 2009.
