IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport
21 Mar 2011 11:41

The IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport will be held from 7 to 9 April 2011 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Bringing together sports and medical experts, the Conference will not only address the problem of injuries but also discuss the prevention of other health problems associated with sports participation.

Recognised scientists and practitioners from the medical and sports worlds will share their latest findings through keynote lectures, symposia, workshops and interactive dialogue sessions. The objective is to transfer academic knowledge to the field of play in order to minimise risk factors in sport and maximise safe sports participation. The scientific programme covers a wide range of topics, featuring as many as 94 invited speakers over the three days of the Conference.
