In addition to the Presidential election, the delegates from 147 countries elected the Spanish Miguel Roca Mas to the 1st vice president. The new secretary general is the Frenchmen Joel Delplanque. Sandi Sola from Croatia was appointed to the treasurer.
There were also changes on top of some IHF-Commissions. While Naser Abu Marouq (Kuwait) and Dr Francois Gnamian (Cote d'Ivoire) will continue to preside the Commission for Coaching and Methods (CCM) and the Medical Commission (MC) respectively, the Congress elected the Slovene Leon Kalin to the new chairman of the Commission of Organizing and Competiton (COC).
Additionally, from now on the Playing Rules and Referees Commission (PRC) is managed by the German Manfred Prause and in the Commission for Promotion and Public Relations (CPP) the choice was Fabiano Redondo from Brasil. The Congress elected Zoran Radojicic from Montenegro to the chairman of the Arbitration Tribunal. In contrast Charalambos Lottas from Cyprus continues to preside the Arbitration Commission. The auditors of the new legislative period are Günal Ensari from Turkey and Alexis Manouvrier from France.
