Job Description
We are a well established Swim 21 Club following the ASA National Plan with nearly 300 swim members from novice to competitive and including an active Masters section. We are also linked to a successful water polo club. Most training takes place in the 25m town pool and another locally, but a weekly session uses the 50m pool at Bath University.
The Club has recently achieved notable increases in development opportunities for all our swimmers and success in increasing the number of County, Regional and National Qualifiers. They will be expected to assist with the mentoring and continuous development of the club’s existing volunteer workforce. The applicant will be expected to work an average of 18hrs/week including at least 9hrs poolside.
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate:
- A proven track record of their coaching abilities together with a UKCC/ASA Level 3 Coaching qualification (or a suitably experienced UKCC/ASA Level 2 coaching qualification and a willingness to work to Level 3).
- Evidence of their personal continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to lead, organise, motivate and recruit to the current coaching team.
- The ability to motivate, encourage and develop swimmers at all levels.
- Sound understanding of, and commitment towards, Swim 21 process.
