Many swimmers from the West Midland Region were in action at the British Gas Masters and Senior Age Group Championships in Cardiff from 19th to 21st June.

A British and European record fell to Alan Jackson (Birmingham Masters) in the 70-74 years 200m Backstroke with a time of 3:06.33.

British records were also achieved by:
