NEMLA Disciplinary Statement

North of England Men's Lacrosse Association
Management Committee

11 September 2009

The NEMLA Disciplinary Committee convened a Hearing on Thursday 10th of September 2009 to consider allegations of 'Bringing the Game into Disrepute' against Nathan and Josef Singleton.

After studying written witness statements and hearing from the two players, there followed a prolonged discussion and eventually a conclusion was reached.  However, this conclusion cannot as yet be made public in case it may affect on-going police investigations.

In view of these continued investigations and the serious nature of the charges, it was decided that the playing and coaching ban should remain in force on match days, although the two players could participate in club sessions on other days.

The charge against Josef Singleton of playing for Cheshire in the British Nationals while under suspension was withdrawn.

Roger Ambler
(Current Secretary to Disciplinary Committee)
