British Services Festival of Lacrosse

From Mark Buckley

The RN, the Army, the RAF and the Police will participate in the inaugural British Services Festival of Lacrosse at RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire, 12-13 July 2008.

The Weekend will be based around a Men's tournament on the Saturday between all four services. There will also be a couple of Women's matches with the main one being the RAF versus an assorted team of the other three services combined. On the Sunday there will be a mixed competition where all the personnel will be randomly assigned to teams in order to enhance inter-service co-operation and most importantly have fun.

We are still also looking for both; a civilian Women's Team to attend the Festival on the Saturday to challenge a Tr-Service Team, and a Women's Referee to officiate the two planned matches.

If anyone has any questions or queries please email Flt Lt Mark Buckley who is the event organiser.
