“Are you 13-18 years old? Have you ever thought about giving Triathlon go, or are you involved in sport and think you could be talented in this fast growing Olympic Sport…?”

East Midlands Triathlon are organising this talent ID day to give an opportunity for talented youngsters across the region to access the regional talent squad, the day will consist of:

• Briefing from Olympic Triathlete Steph Forrester and National coach Ben Bright
• Time Trial in Loughborough’s international swimming pool
•  Time trial On Loughborough’s international athletics track

All athletes who meet a given standard will be invited to join the new ‘regional academy’ which starts in January 2009. All athletes who meet this standard will be able to access:

• Monthly regional academy training days run by the regions top talent coaches
• Help and advice on Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning, Open water swimming, group riding, and race selection
• Top athletes and their club coaches will receive individual help from Steph Forrester.
