A squad of British diver begin competition at the FINA Diving Grand Prix event in Montreal, Canada as they continue their preparations toward the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
With the team set for Beijing to be decided at the National Championships in June, the event gives the squad of eight a chance to compete against world-class athletes as they look to secure their Olympic spot later this year in Manchester.
Competition runs from 1-4 May at the Olympic Pool, where Canada’s World Champions and Olympic medallists Alexandre Despatie, Emilie Heymans and Blythe Hartley will take on some of the best divers in the world.
A number of the squad will be competing at the FINA Diving World Series event in Sheffield later this month and are likely to face many of the divers in Montreal.
