James Milton and Chris Mears have won the gold and bronze medal respectively in the boys ‘b’ platform event at the European Junior Diving Championships in Minsk.
Milton has been showing is promise throughout the year and secured his first European Junior medal with an impressive score of 412.05. The City of Sheffield diver secured high scores of nine in his penultimate dive to seal his medal.
Southampton Diver Mears had a consistent performance to score 7s throughout the rounds to finish with a score of 408.40 and the bronze medal.
The silver medal went to Ukrainian diver Alexandr Bondar with 409.75 points.
Yesterda, British pair Charles Calvert and Callum Johnstone finished in fourth place in the boys 3m Synchro with a score of 284.40.
Megan Sylvester and Saffron Sutcliffe, who are both competing at their first European Junior Championships, finished in 8th and 9th place respectively. Sylvester secured her finish with a score of 323.20 and Sutcliffe scored 314.50.
