RELAY GLORY AT WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPS

The men’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay team won the gold medal and claimed a championship record at the World Junior Championships 2008.

The team, which features Robert Bale, Ryan Bennett, Thomas Parris and Christopher Walker-Hebborn, performed excellently and touched home in a time of 7:20.18.

The squad have been focused on relays for this meet, the principle behind the relays focus is to continue efforts to provide strength in depth within British Swimming with 2012 in mind.

The silver medal went to Germany who finished in 7:20.27 and bronze was won by Japan in 7:24.71.

The 2nd FINA World Junior Championships take place in Monterrey, Mexico from 8th to 13th July 2008.
