Three players reprimanded in Santiago

After the match India vs. Great Britain played on Thursday March 6 at the Olympic Qualifier in Santiago, Chile, three players were reprimanded by Willard P. Harris, Tournament Director.

  • Indian player #10 Vickram KANTH received a yellow card in the 6th minute of play. After review of the video footage of the incident, the player was further charged for deliberately using his elbow against a British player.

  • British player #8 Simon MANTELL was involved in the same incident. After review of the video footage, he was charged for using abusive language and gestures to the Indian player.

  • Indian player #13 Gurbaz SINGH was involved in an incident in the 56th minute of play. After review of the video footage of the incident, the player was charged for deliberately following through with his stick striking a British player in the mouth.

All three players were summoned to hearings, in the presence of their team representatives, and were strongly reprimanded for their actions. They were further advised that any further similar occurrence would result in a suspension.
