World Games 2009 Test Events, Kaohsiung (TPE)

KAOHSIUNG (TPE) FIG Office, October 29, 2008: 18 year old rhythmic gymnast Pei-Lung Yu from host nation Chinese Taipei and Bronze medallist of last night’s Hoop Final at the World Games 2009 Test Event in Kaohsiung was not very satisfied with her performance, especially on Rope where she finished last. In a press conference following the competition, she announced that she is aiming for more and hopes to show her full potential in today’s Clubs and Ribbon competition.

However, Russia’s Natalia Pichuzhkina and Aleksandra Ermakova, who yesterday ranked first and second in both Rope and Hoop, will be tough competition. The two Russian gymnasts have high expectations for themselves today.

Finally, 17 year old South African Sibongile Mjekula is not to be underestimated. Mjekula placed third in last night’s Rope Final.
