Dornbirn (AUT) FIG Office, July 17, 2009: At the close of two days of selective assessment, evaluators have rendered a verdict. 14 clubs have been invited to participate in a final Gala that will complete the first-ever Gym for Life Challenge in the annals of the FIG.

Enthusiasm bathed the faces of qualified gymnasts on Thursday and Friday, and the night preceding the final looks to be a long one. A single medal awaits the winner of this world premiere event.

Qualified to this point: Asker Turnforening, Asker (NOR), Legend of Anatolia, Manisa (TUR), La Trottola, Modena (ITA), Showteam Matrix, TV Freiburg - Herdern (GER), Bellinge Gymnasterne, Mesinge (DEN), Fredrikstad Turnforening, (NOR), GC Piruett Elte Group, Tallin (EST), STV Rickenbach (SUI), TV Rüti (SUI), Vaganti TSV Weilheim (GER), Airone Mantova (ITA), Turnerschaft Schlins (AUT),FSG Pomy (SUI).

The show is going to sizzle and action will be delivered in spades at this historic final. Don't forget that the winning club will take home the Grandi Trophy, the namesake prize of the President of the International Gymnastics Federation. The group will need to win the cup three times consecutively in order to keep it indefinitely. A replica of the original will be presented by President Grandi in person.
