« THE RUSSIAN WINTER SEASON AT BEAULIEU-SUR-MER

Exhibition of photos depicting the life of the Russian aristocracy and various celebrated Russian artists in Beaulieu before the First World War, starting with the writer Anton Chekhov and finishing with Igor Stravisnky who composed Petrouchka at Beaulieu-sur-Mer in911.

Exposition conceived by the Scottish artists Calum Colvin in homage to the Gaillic poet Ossian who was re-discovered in the 18th century and who made a great impression on Napoleon and French writers, particularly Voltaire, as well as on the Russian writers.
