His Royal Highness Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn,
Honorary citizen of Beaulieu-sur-Mer.

The Duke, who kept an apartment at the Palais des Anglais in Beaulieu, was an honorary citizen of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, and between 1920 and 1938 a loyal participant at the Armistice Day Remembrance Ceremony.  He was also a benefactor of the Anglo-American Hospital at Mont Boron and of St Michael’s Anglican Church.  In 1931 he inaugurated the miniature golf course in the Casino Gardens, as well as opening the new Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
