First sporting success: Winning gold in the 100m butterfly and bronze in the 100m backstroke at the World Championships 1994 in Malta 

Finest sporting moment: Winning gold in a new world record time in the 100m butterfly in Sydney and then anchoring the 4x100m freestyle relay to gold and a new world record ahead of the Australians just a few days later.

Tip for the top: Work and train hard, but most of all enjoy it
