Subscriptions 2009
Have subscriptions gone up?
No! The Committee is pleased to be able to keep subscriptions at the same level as last year. The base subscription level has been unchanged for sevaral years - although there has been a small overall increase in fees in that time because of the levy paid to England Athletics.
What is the levy?
Athletes have to pay a levy to England Athletics in order that they may compete and be covered for insurance at events. This levy has to be paid annually for current active club members. That is athletes who are either training with coaching groups or competing as members of Bromsgrove & Redditch A.C.. The club would not pay the levy for persons who are no longer active members for example those who have ceased to train with coaching groups or who are not likely to rejoin the club in the coming year.
How is the levy paid?
The £5 levy has been added to the base subscriptions, except for Under 11 members who are not required to register. The club passes the £5 levy on to Engand Athletics.
So how much do I have to pay in total?
The table below shows how your total subscriptions are calculated. For example the base subscription for a member under 16 years old is £30 and the levy is £5 making a total subscription of £35.
What if I pay before 2009?
If you are an existing member and pay your subscription before or on 31/12/08, you only have to pay the discounted rate. For example an under 16 member would pay £32 instead of £35 and a senior would pay £47 instead of the normal £52. New members who have joined from October 2008 onwards paying full subscription will have free membership for 2009.
What if I pay after January 2009?
If you are an existing member and you pay after 31st January then you will have to pay an extra £10 adminitration charge. For example a Senior would have to pay £62 instead of the normal £52. New members do not have to pay the extra £10.
