Redditch 10km

Despite the rain 160 runners completed the third annual Redditch 10k at Arrow Valley Park.

First home was Tom Kenderdine from Kidderminster & Stourport Athletic Club equalling the course record with a time of 33.11. B&R's Ian Keyte reported that he had no problem keeping up with Tom - however he was cycling rather than running due to injury. Tom's team mate Jacqui Philips was first female beating the forty minute marker with a time of 39.59.

There were good runs from Bromsgrove & Redditch athletes. First home for the club was Dave Henderson who finished 7th in 36.51. Close behind were Gavin Moorhead 39.30 and James Hood 39.53. Helen Russell was third female getting a time of 41.55. Simon Lanckham (B&R) won the 5 km fun run.

Unfortunately, the number of competitors from B&R was low as many runners were due to run in the Hilly 100 on the following day.
