20th British Masters Open Road Relays

B&R women’s team (left to right): Caroline, Judy, Ann & Jane.
Veterans teams from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (from a distance North Belfast’s vest is easily mistaken for Halesowen) made long trips to Sutton Park for the masters relays. B&R made the relatively short journey up the M5 and fielded three teams during the day with the Women’s 35-44 and Men’s 60-69 racing in the morning.

In the afternoon, Dave Kesterton got B&R’s “40s” team off to a great start running the team’s fastest leg of the day (15:24) to be 8th vet 40 on the opening leg. A solid team performance was completed by the return of Vince Rollason on the last leg as B&R finished in the top half of a field of 37 complete teams.
