This well organised event takes place in lovely countryside in the Teme valley. The virtually traffic free course is 2 miles out, followed by a two mile loop which includes a serious climb and then 2 miles back.
Tom Kenderdine (Halesowen) won in 35.01 and was also first V35. Kevin Lanckam and Richard Shardlow pushed each other with Kevin coming out best in 37.08 to take second V40. Richard was second V35 in 37.16. Richard had been up since 4.00a.m. as he had gone to Lichfield to support some friends doing a double ironman triathlon! ( I wonder if they take Monday off work?). Pete Hawcroft was well pleased with his time of 41.53 which gave him first V55.
Next year this would be a good race for a club trip out and lunch after.
