Above: Some of the B&R women's and girl's teams and the welcome shelter of the new club tent at a frozen Malvern.
Thanks to all the family and friends who turned and braved the bitter cold to support including John Manley and Jake the greyhound, John “ooh my rib” Dineen, Rich Shardlow and an injured James Hood. Commiserations to Helen Russell who aggravated an injury during the warm-up and had to miss the race and Georgie Fleming who missed her start but put a brave face on it to support the men and Phil Woodyatt who had to drop out of the men’s race. Special thanks to Len for looking after the club’s splendid new marquee looking after the men’s team and handing out flapjacks even though his teeth were chattering with the cold! Thanks to Rita and Calvin for looking after the boys and girls teams – Calvin had been on his feet for hours before he even raced.
