British Masters Road Relays

Sutton Park, Birmingham

With all the younger club members resting up for the Hilly Hundred the old uns showed that there is still life after 60. Alan Elsmere, Clive Brown and Pete Hawcroft raced in the British Masters Road Relays at Sutton Park with welcome support from Len who put up the club tent on a cool and very windy day. (Does he have shares in flap jacks?)

The times were all consistent at 19.59, 19.50 and 19.22 respectively which brought us home in 59.11 for 8th from 28 teams.

Oxford won the V60 relay in 53.22. Roy Treadwell (Oxford) ran the fastest V60 time of 17.35.

We beat Birchfield 14th in 1.01.51; Halesowen 13th in 1.01.46 and Dudley Kingswinford 17th in 1.02.24.
