Droitwich Midweek Race

There was a big turnout in the third race of the Worcestershire midweek series at Droitwich and although there was a one-two for Halesowen, B&R athletes were first in four categories. James King in 6 th was the first B&R runner home over the undulating 9.8 km road course. Mark Graham was only 18 seconds behind and was the first finisher in the Male Vet 40 category more than two minutes ahead of the second placed runner. Alan Elsmere won the Male Vet 60 category ahead of Halesowen’s Ken Court. Although there were only two B&R women racing, they more than matched the men with Ann Stuart first Female Vet 45 and Mel Hepke third Female Vet 35.
