Richard Shardlow Bromsgrove & Reddicth AC at Midlands Road Relays

The Men’s A Team just squeezed in to a qualifying place for the National Road Relays back atSutton Park in October, edging out Birmingham Solihull by only one second! Team manager Len did sterling work to get three complete teams out and to cope with phone calls from runners in traffic or news that runners were heading the wrong way down the motorway. Birchfield Harrier, Tipton Harriers and Bristol & West A.C. finished 1-2-3.

'A' Team: Sean Bowden (19:54); Paul Collins (20:43); Ryan Lee (20:35); Calvin Scoltock (21:55); Mark Graham (22:24); Rich Shardlow (21:11). 2:06:42 overall. 25th 'A' team and 36th from 85 teams.

Simon Bowen Bromsgrove & Redditch AC at Midlands Road Relays

'B' Team: Gavin Moorhead (21:49); James Bowler (21:40); Jamie Dancyger (21:26); David Cooper (24:11); Simon Bowen (24:11); James King (21:54). 2:16:13 overall. 52nd from 85 teams.

Dave Stokes Bromsgrove & Redditch AC at Midlands raod Relays

'C' Team: Andy Freeman (22:42); Phil Woodyat (25:39); Dickie Doran (25:26); Sam Moran (25:35); Dave Stokes (26:50); Martin Aspley-Davis (24:40). 2:30:52 overall and 76th from 85 teams.

'D' Team: Alan Elsemere (24:08); Phil Anderson (22:06) (incomplete team).

Two very evenly matched B&R women’s teams finished just 2 minutes apart in 39th and 41st out of 60 teams.
