Debbie Deane was appointed as Regional Development Officer for the ASA West Midland Region in January 2005. Debbie previously worked for Birmingham City Council and Birmingham Active Sports as a Swimming Development Officer.

As Regional Development Officer, Debbie is responsible for determining the strategic direction of swimming development in the region to underpin the World Class programmes for swimming.

This is achieved by driving:

• The Swim 21 Accreditation programme
• County Sports Partnerships
• Coach and Volunteer Development

in partnership with Clubs, County Swimming Associations, Sport England, Local Authorities and other sporting development agencies.
