The following Midland Water Polo Championships will be held:

Senior Men
Senior Women
Junior Men (born 1991 and later)
Mixed Youth (born 1993 and later)
Mixed Academy (born 1995 and later)

and
Senior Men's Plate Competition.

Each Championship/Competition is open to all clubs in the East Midland and West Midland Regions except that the following conditions shall apply to the Senior Men’s events:

The Championship and Plate are restricted to clubs which play in local leagues based within the East Midland and West Midland Regions.

The Plate is further restricted to exclude those teams competing in Division One of the Midland League in 2008.

B teams may enter the Plate Competition but may not enter the Championship.

Players may only be registered for one team in the Men’s events.

Players registered for a team competing in Division One of the Midland League can not be registered for a team competing in the Plate.

All events will be held on a tournament basis.

For both Senior Men’s events, each Region will stage a preliminary round and the top two teams from each preliminary round will play in the final round.

All matches in the regional rounds and the 3^rd/4^th play-off matches will consist of two periods of 8 minutes normal clock (one time-out).   The two finals will consist of four periods of 8 minutes normal clock.

The length of matches for all other championships will depend upon the number of entries.

Medals will be presented to the winners and runners-up of each Championship and the Plate (not including the Senior Men’s Regional Rounds).

The entry fee will be £30 for all events except the Academy which will be £15.
