A Coaches Forum has been established in the Region to discuss swimmer development and coaching issues.
The members of the Regional Coaches Forum are Nathan Hilton, Adam Ruckwood, Jo Deakins, Carl Grosvenor, Sarah Brown, Marc Foster, coach representatives from Shropshire and Worcester County, along with the ASA Regional Talent Development Officer, Dave Legge, and the Regional Director, Lesley Hill.
The meetings are held bi-montly and amongst the topics discussed are:
- Swimming development and swimmer pathways
- Land training
- Regional talent programme
- Advanced Coaching Offer
- Coaching Apprentices
- AASE programme
- Competition framework
If coaches have anything they would like discussed at the Coaches Forum, please email them to the Regional office (westmidland@swimming.org) at least one week prior to the next meeting in order that it can be included on the agenda.
