Job Description
Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club was established in 1884 and is Swim 21 Accredited.
We have 280 squad swimmers of all ages and abilities competing at all levels and a Learn to Swim school with 300 members. The clubs main training facility is at Bishop’s Stortford College with additional pool time at other local facilities.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Head Coach to be involved in all aspects of the club and to work closely with the committee and our team of experience coaches to achieve the clubs long term goals.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess an ASA/UKCC Level 3 Certificate for Coaching Swimming.
An enhanced CRB check will be required for this position.
You will be personally responsible for training our two top squads who can currently access 18 hours pool time a week.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills:
· Excellence in coaching and the ability to motivate swimmers at all levels.
· The ability to prepare swimmers for County, Regional and National Competitions.
· The ability to formulate training and competition programs to reflect the needs of our swimmers.
· Strong leadership and ability to lead a team of experienced coaches, and poolside helpers.
· The ability to communicate effectively with club members, committee and parents.
· Commitment to oversee the continued development and success of the club.
