Multisport video platform
In order to improve the visibility and profile of Federations, SportAccord is developing a multisport video platform. This central and neutral multimedia video platform enables SportAccord Members to promote their sports.
The goal is to build on Members’ unity to provide an appealing multimedia video platform where all IFs would have channels to distribute video footage. This service aims to be a sports hub, where sport enthusiasts can find a massive amount of videos and archives related to their passion. This platform will be an efficient communication tool to enhance general interest and to generate website traffic for all International Sports Federations.
A team is working on developing the project, and an agreement is being finalised with Google / Youtube. The objective is to have the video initiative up and running on the SportAccord website by the next meeting of the International Convention in Dubai, April 26-30.
Knowledge sharing
SportAccord organises ad-hoc working groups on specific subjects with the participation of representative Federations to help tackle issues such as rival leagues, betting and gambling. It wishes to create communities sharing the same interests, which can use the extranet in order to share documents, meetings/seminars information and contacts, and follow up on their discussions.
SportAccord brings targeted IFs together to share their experiences and outcomes of discussions with other IFs that have not faced these kinds of issues yet but may face them in the future.
Advisory governance
SportAccord supports its Members in their efforts to develop and adopt proper statutes, by reviewing rules and regulations, as well as giving guidelines for the redaction of the IFs statutes, in order to ensure good governance.
