PERSONAL:

First sporting success: Turning up to a club session not knowing we had a competition and then winning it!

Finest sporting moment: Winning the overall trophy at the British Championships as well winning the Swedish Open in Duet and Solo

Biggest disappointment: Not being selected for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne however I ended up getting selected later on, as well as not being selected for the Olympic Duet Trials 2008 in Beijing.

First GB selection year: 2000

Tip for the top: Even when it’s hard don’t give up it will get better and you will reap the benefits

How did you get involved with synchro: Going to a swimming lesson at the age of 11 after 8 years of gymnastics and not being able to swim very well.  The teacher suggested I join the synchro club that night. Maybe I had my toes pointed in breastroke or something....

Sporting heroes: Kelly Holmes

Favourite sports other than synchro: Swimming, Football and Hockey

Three words that best describe you: Caring, crazy and committed

Would most like to meet: Cristiano Ronaldo and Kelly Holmes

Most prized possession: Car and phone

Biggest influence on your career: Adele Carlsen

Favorite venue and why: Heliopolis pool in Egypt because it’s outdoors, deep and the sun always shines.  Great atmosphere!

Any other family connections to sport: My sister was also a Synchronised Swimmer and was National Age Group Champion on a number of occasions as well as being on numerous GB Teams

Tips to relax: Have a warm bath with a nice hot drink and listen to some music that you love

Ultimate ambition: To complete all that I aim to achieve in life

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Hopefully have completed my masters degree ;) and in a full time job involving sport
