GENERAL INFORMATION
First sporting success: My first international success was breaking a European record in 1999, in the 50m Breaststroke (LC). Sporting heroes: Penny Heyns, Carl Lewis and Sally Gunnell. Biggest influence on career: My parents. Toughest opponent: Myself. I put a lot of pressure on myself to be successful and am very tough on myself all of the time. Tip for the top: Always do what you believe in and give it 100%. Believe in yourself and anything is possible. Favourite food: Mexican or Chinese. Favourite holiday destination: Anywhere that is hot and has a beautiful beach. I love Australia (Sydney). Favourite saying: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Three words that best describe you: Ambitious, Determined and Positive. Most prized possession: My two dogs - a dalmatian called Tilmand and a Weimaraner called Jae. Ultimate ambition in life: To be able to look back at my life and be content and satisfied that I did and tried absolutely everything to be successful and have no regrets about anything.
