Appraisals & Staff Training

Good companies have well trained and motivated staff. It is our recommendation that swim schools should hold regular appraisals with staff in one-to-one situations at least once a year to discuss their strengths and weaknesses and allow them to feel they are having a say in their development as a professional.

Such appraisals are also an excellent way of allowing an employee to raise matters of concern or weakness in the company, without threat of reprisal – again employers should use such meetings as a positive way of seeking the views of their employees in helping the business grow and develop.
