Volunteers

Are you looking for volunteers?

Over 80% of the population think about helping out in their local community, but don’t know where to start.

The success and growth of all the aquatic disciplines relies on volunteers giving their time, skills and enthusiasm.

There are now 300 Volunteer Centres in England supporting potential volunteers move into suitable opportunities.

Amazingly, Volunteer Centres tend to have more people wanting to volunteer than they have opportunities for volunteering.

Volunteer Centres can work with you on small things like new ideas for keeping your current volunteers happy, ideas about how to share out the tasks within your club and succession planning for your committee.

Volunteer Centres can also help with training about how to keep your volunteers through good volunteer management and will be able to help with big things like recruiting a new volunteer or writing a volunteer strategy.

Find your nearest Volunteer Centre and ask them how they can support you at www.volunteering.org.uk or email volunteering@swimming.org.
