Before the storm – asa championships

With the British squad bound for their pre-Olympic camp in Osaka within a couple of weeks and Beijing soon after, the asa championships in Liverpool’s new 50m pool were ideal preparation for some, especially with morning finals designed to replicate conditions in China. British records were predictably scarce but there was close competition at times, which led to some exciting swimming….
