Dennis Mills is Chief Executive Major Events International. MEI provides global access to procurement networking and knowledge for frequent, transformational, international major events. These events are vital to the bid and host nations and also present considerable business opportunities for those seeking involved in recruitment, technology and services.

His previous appointment was the Director responsible for the Atos Origin UK 2012 Account working closely with the Major Events Division responsible to the IOC for Games IT Systems Integration.  He completed the Olympic Certification Programme in Beijing.

Dennis served for over 20 years in the British Army retiring in the rank of Colonel having commanded at Regimental level. He has experience of operations in Northern Ireland and the Balkans as well as numerous global deployments, often working with non UK forces. His background has been Command and Control and Security related and he left the Army to join Thales seven years ago, firstly running a systems integration and prime contracting business, and latterly the Security Systems business in UK.

He has a Masters degree is Corporate Management and is a frequent speaker at Conferences. He is the Chairman of the Major Events group for Intellect and was a member of the Steering Group for the recently published DEMOS study into National Security for the 21st Century.
