Mr. TJ Kennedy is an Assistant Vice President with SAIC. SAIC is a world leader in public safety, homeland security, and technology.
Mr. Kennedy served as the Deputy Program Manager for the Public Safety C4I project for the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. This project supported the Hellenic Police, Hellenic Fire Brigades, and Hellenic Coast Guard. The project definition for C4I was Command, Control, Communication, and Integration for Public Safety agencies such as Police, Fire, and Coast Guard.
Mr. Kennedy was the public safety coordinator for Police, Fire and EMS agencies on the Wasatch Back representing many Police and Emergency Service agencies in the two county region for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Mr. Kennedy also served as the Director for Olympic Aviation for the Utah Olympic Public Safety Command (UOPSC) overseeing the Aviation and Air Security mission for this major world event. He worked on planning for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games since 1996.
Prior to working on the Olympics full time Mr. Kennedy was the EMS Coordinator for the Utah Highway Patrol and also served in numerous sworn officer capacities within the Utah Department of Public Safety. These duties included being a field trooper, Public Information Officer, Motor Officer, and a member of the DPS SERT (Special Operations) team. Mr. Kennedy has received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Utah. Mr. Kennedy also received his paramedic training at Weber State University. He is a graduate of the Utah State Police Academy and is a certified flight paramedic. Mr. Kennedy is a member of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute’s International Permanent Observatory on Security during Major Events. Mr. Kennedy currently supports Defense and Public Safety customers worldwide for SAIC.
