Director Aaron Robert Harry enlisted in the South African Police Services in 1979 and following a lengthy career (20 years) in the Detective Services, was appointed Deputy Area Commissioner : OPERATIONS in the year 2000.  He successfully planned and policed major sporting events including RUGBY WORLD CUP MATCHES, CRICKET WORLD CUP, T20 CRICKET SERIES WORLD CUP, A1 GRAND PRIX, INTERNATIONAL SOCCER MATCHES (SA vs ENGLAND, MANCHESTER UNITED, TOTTENHAM HOT SPURS). 

He was also involved in major Conferences including AIDS Conference, African Union Summit (AU), Non Aligned Movement (NAM), World Conference against Racism (WCAR) and the 2010 FIFA World Cup Preliminary Draw in Durban.  Director Harry also executed a number of crowd management events including music festivals and protest marches.   He has a strong passion for his duties and he displays professionalism to enhance service delivery.  Currently he is involved in the planning for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.
