David Evans is Project Director-2012 at the BSIA responsible for liaison with the organisers of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games on security issues and co-ordinating 2012 issues for RISC. He joined the BSIA in 2006 from Legion Group plc where he had been Managing Director since 1999. Prior to this, he held positions as Sales and Marketing Director with Securicor Guarding and Commercial Director for Sterling Granada.

His experience in those companies has ranged from security guarding to systems, event security and consultancy. He was Chair of the Home Office working group on Safe Deposits. David joined the security industry in 1981 following service in the Army Intelligence Corps and a period in Special Forces. He is a Freeman of the Company of Security Professionals and a Fellow of the Security Institute.
